Campaigns are full of rhetoric and NHPR’s State of Democracy unit will work as a check against some of the candidates’ claims. As we do the fact checking we’ll also build out online "explainers" so that our audience is armed with more knowledge for the next time a candidate makes a certain claim, and so our journalists can track their claims over time.
